What is functional medicine?
Functional medicine looks for the
root cause of a health concern instead of only managing its symptoms, and it treats you as a whole person, considering how your nutrition, sleep, stress, hormones, and history all connect. You can read more on our
What Is Functional Medicine page.
Do I have to be a Christian to come to IFM?
No. IFM is rooted in a Christian faith that shapes how we serve, through kindness, humility, integrity, and genuine care, but we warmly welcome people from every background, belief, and walk of life. Our faith is not who we serve; it is how we serve.
Do you take insurance?
No, IFM is a direct-pay practice and does not bill or take insurance. This keeps care focused on what actually helps and means you always know what you are getting and why. For your convenience, we offer several digital payment options: all major credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA, and payment plans through Cherry, Klarna, and Afterpay.
Will IFM replace my primary care physician?
No. IFM works alongside your primary care and your existing healthcare team. Dr. Sumaili is a board-certified family physician who draws from both conventional and functional medicine to help you understand and address what is suboptimal, often before it becomes disease.
How do I book an appointment?
Just give us a call at
+1 (229) 302-4172 and our team will help you choose the right appointment for your needs. You can also book online for your convenience at
our scheduling page. A Discovery Call is no longer required to get started.
What is the Discovery Call?
It is an optional conversation, not required to schedule. Our team is happy to help you choose the right fit when you call. But if you absolutely aren’t sure which appointment or service to schedule, or how IFM can help you, a Discovery Call to speak with Dr. St. Claire first is always available for anyone who’d like it.
What if IFM isn’t the right fit for me?
That is completely okay. Give us a call and even if we are not the right fit, we will point you in the right direction.
Do you see children and families?
Yes. IFM is family-focused and offers a Pediatric Wellness Assessment to help parents and caregivers support healthy foundations for their children.
What kinds of concerns do people come to IFM for?
Common reasons include fatigue or low energy, digestive concerns, chronic inflammation, brain fog, sleep challenges, hormonal changes, healthy aging, and general prevention and optimization.
